Imran Khan filed a complaint apparently to counter Rs 10 billion defamation suit against him by Nawaz.
LAHORE: On an appeal by Prime Minister Imran Khan seeking record of all cases registered against the former, session’s court assigned a notice to the Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif.
On the behalf of Prime Minister Advocate Pir Masood Chishti appeared and requested the law court to gather all cases record registered against Shabaz Sharif.
Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Amjad Khan issued notice to Mr Sharif looking for his reply by May 16.
The judge is seized with the defamation suit of Mr. Sharif filed in 2017 in which he blamed Mr Khan for charging false allegations on him.
For withdrawing case of Panama Papers before the Supreme Court at a press conference in Islamabad accused him of offering Rs 10 billion through a mutual friend, said Mr. Khan.
Mr Sharif sought a decree for recovery of Rs 10 billion as compensation from the Imran Khan for publication of libelous content.
