Ever wanted to know how you’ll age? Now there’s an app for that.
FaceApp, Launched in 2017 isn’t new. But it’s highlighting again because the app has gotten good — like, eerily well — at showing their users how they’ll look like when they age.
It’s creepy, so use at your own risk. Or, take a look through Twitter or Instagram to see how others have turned out years into the future.
Dwyane Wade Basketball star gave it a go — or, in this case, retired basketball star?
Tottenham Hotspurs, England soccer team, with FaceApp they made a whole Twitter thread of their players. It’s incredible.

Now see how it allows you to pick photos without giving photo access to the app. You can see a video of this behavior here:
Re: FaceApp, can’t speak to it “uploading” photos but the app is definitely able to access my library even though I have Photos permission set to “never” 🤔 pic.twitter.com/jDMkqu5nML

And rapper Drake got in on the elderly action (though it isn’t clear if he used FaceApp to do it).
The app uses artificial neural networks — a type of artificial intelligence — to edit the photos.
And it can do more than just age you. The app can literally put a smile on your face, make you look younger, or exchange your gender, too.
